At Least She Doesn't Make Us Watch Teletubbies Yet

Starting to get a little tired of reading Over in the Meadow again and again and again.

My first daughter watched teletubbies religiously, with the result that her first word was "Again! Again!" (a frequent chorus on that show). But it was a blessing because watching teletubbies was the only time she stopped moving, and 22 minutes of relative quiet was a godsend. Our second daughter has had no interest in Teletubbies or its successor Boobah, (which I agree is really scary -- giant penis breasts from Space -- makes my brain ache!) but willl watch Spot and Max and Ruby when available. You'll find one she likes and all become addicted.

As for getting tired of reading the same book over and over again, there is a hilarious comedy bit by Stuart McLean in which he ends up admitting that he has burned books -- the Robert Munch book he could not bring himself to read one more bedtime. (Can you get Vinyl Cafe in the US?)
