Constant Reader

Okay, it’s long established that the first thing Baby Dog wants in the morning is one of her books, and the next-to-last thing at night is a bedtime story. Tonight for the first time I had to put her to bed with a book in her hands. I want her to be a reader, of course I do, but is this a bit much?

You will coin a new phrase - security book. If it was a teddy bear you wouldn't even ask. And she will, of course, be brilliant.

No, it's a sign of good parenting. Instilling a love of reading from this early age will make her a better citizen, particularly since reading will always be second nature to her. Society gets dumber every year; you and Mrs. Duvalier should be proud to be doing your small part in reversing that enormous trend.
